Important Information regarding:
Construct Data Publishers Verlag AG aka: Fair Guide
(This company formerly traded as Construct Data Verlag GMBH)
You will only encounter The Fairguide if you exhibit in large trade fairs. They send a mailshot to exhibitors, many of whom mistakenly consider it to be a communication from the fair organiser.
People who have returned the form expecting a free listing are then harassed for money as the small print in the latest contract 'commits' you to paying 1,171 euros per annum for a minimum of 3 years, and the contract is self-perpetuating.
On 13th February 2007, Construct Data Verlag signed a far-reaching settlement with the Schutzverband gegen unlauteren Wettbewerb, before the Austrian courts. In the undertaking, Construct Data agreed:
1. To cease the mailing of misleading contracts to the EU, Switzerland and EWR.
2. To cancel their demands for money against companies who signed in error and dispute the contracts.
However, Art in London has evidence that this company is still sending scam forms to UK and European art organisations.
If you signed Construct Data's contract in error, you must now notify them in order to be covered by the above agreement. However, our experience suggests that the company, managed by a certain Frederik Huiden, has total contempt for the ruling.
If your company is disputing demands from Construct Data (Fairguide), DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY!

If you have recently received a form entitled ‘Exhibitors Directory for Fairs and Exhibitions’ from FAIRGuide, DO NOT SIGN AND RETURN.
Please advise Art in London of any such communications and any on-going disputes |
