Hermes Property Art Prize |

The Prize is open to artists of all ages and nationalities. The only criteria is that the artist does not have (or has had) gallery representation or previously been affiliated to any recognised commercial art galleries. Entrants can submit up to 3 works of art for consideration. The best entries will be entered into a group exhibition in London in October 2008. A panel of judges will select winners in 5 categories: 1. Traditional Painting The winners in each category will be offered a solo exhibition in London with the possibility of gallery representation. Art in London will run a feature on the prize for the Autumn 2008 issue and will focus on all of the initial candidates and eventual winners. Artists can submit entries in more than one category if required. Each entry allows the artist to submit up 3 pieces in j-peg form and hard copy and incurs an administrative fee of £25. This fee is refundable if none of the 3 items submitted are selected for the exhibition. Entries must initially be submitted in hard copy to: Hermes Property Art Prize Please enclose a cheque for £25 made payable to 'West Eleven' for each group of 3 images submitted otherwise your entry may not be considered. On the reverse of each image, clearly state: 1. Artist Name Enclose a stamped addressed envelope should you require your images to be returned. Entrants who are not selected for the initial group show will have their entry fee refunded in full. Selected entrants will be required to produce digital images of the chosen works for catalogue, magazine and website promotion. Closing date for entries is August 15th 2008. |
Hermes Property Limited, in association with Art in London is launching the Hermes Property Art Prize this summer in a quest to find new and previously unrecognised artistic talent in the UK.
